01 / IN SHORTFour things to know first.
- A funscript is positions over time. It was made for strokers. It says where to be, not how strongly to vibrate. The format, explained.
- The player translates. The format has no rule for vibration, so each player chooses its own. The same script can feel different in two players.
- Some scripts speak vibration. A vibration track uses the same numbers as strength, 0 for off and 100 for full, so nothing needs translating.
- Most toys connect through Intiface Central. The free app reaches Lovense, We-Vibe, Satisfyer, Kiiroo and many other brands over Bluetooth, and funscript players talk to it.
02 / STROKES INTO STRENGTHWhat the player does.
Players reach toys through Intiface with two kinds of command. A stroker gets a position and the time to reach it. A vibrator gets a level from 0 to 1 for each motor. A stroke script only gives the first, so the player has to work out the second.
Speed is the natural bridge. Between two points a script covers a distance in a time: 80 units in 400 ms is 200 units a second. A player can map stillness to off and a brisk pace to full, and scale everything in between. That is what ANANGA's player does for toys connected through Intiface: the faster the script moves, the stronger the vibration.
| The script | Speed | Vibration |
|---|---|---|
| Holds still | 0 units/s | Off, or easing off |
| Slow strokes | about 100 units/s | Low |
| Medium pace | about 200 units/s | Medium |
| Quick strokes | 300 units/s and up | Strong |
One example of a speed-based scale. Each player sets its own.
The weak point is pacing. A script that keeps one pace for a minute becomes one steady level for a minute. A script with slow builds, pauses and changes of pace rises and falls instead. The shape of each stroke is lost; its rhythm remains.
03 / VIBRATION SCRIPTSWhen the script speaks vibration.
A script set can carry vibration directly. TCode, the protocol behind multi-axis devices, has vibration channels named V0, V1 and so on, where the value is the vibration level. The file is named after the main script with the channel added, such as evening.V0.funscript. Read this way, 0 is off, 100 is full, and the player sends the level as written.
When a script has no vibration track, the translation is what you feel. If you make your own, a vibration track is the most direct way to shape it. See how to make a funscript; the naming rules are in the spec. ANANGA names them evening.vibe.funscript, and evening.vibe2.funscript for a toy's second motor; the channel codes work too.
ANANGA's player treats a vibrator as its own instrument, not a stroker with a setting changed. It asks what you are playing with, fits the toy to you once (where you first feel it, and the most you want), and plays sessions written as intensity for the body the toy touches: slow builds, waves, pulses, edging, and a steady hold near the top, where a change often breaks it. A toy with two motors gets each motor on its own. Ten of them are free to download in the Index.
04 / CONNECT YOUR TOYThrough Intiface Central.
- Install Intiface Central. It runs on Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and iOS. The Intiface guide covers it in full.
- Free the toy.Turn it on. If it is paired with your phone, unpair it there first. Pair it in your computer's Bluetooth settings only if its brand needs that.
- Start and scan.Press play to start the engine, then Start Scanning on the Devices tab. Stop when your toy appears.
- Connect your player. Most players find Intiface at its default address on their own.
| Brand | What Intiface's documentation says |
|---|---|
| Lovense | Do not pair it in your computer's settings. Intiface finds Lovense toys by their default Bluetooth name, starting with LVS-; if you renamed yours in Lovense Remote, clear the name. The Lovense dongle and the Lovense Connect app are no longer supported. |
| We-Vibe | Models connect differently. The Vector must be paired with your computer first, and works with one computer at a time. |
| Satisfyer | Pair it with your computer first. On Windows and Linux, use a Bluetooth dongle with a CSR chip; others may connect but not respond. |
| Kiiroo | See our Kiiroo guide. |
05 / WHAT TO LOOK FORFive things that make it feel right.
- A good radio. On Windows and Linux, Intiface recommends a USB Bluetooth dongle, such as the TP-Link UB500 or Asus BT500, close to you. A weak link shows as vibration that lags the picture.
- Limits you can set. A floor keeps quiet passages from cutting out; a ceiling keeps peaks comfortable. Look for both in your player; in ANANGA's, fitting the toy sets them.
- Scripts with variety. Changes of pace become changes of strength.
- A vibration track, when a script has one.
- A player that respects your toy. Every change of level is a command. ANANGA's player keeps at least 80 ms between moves on every device; see device-safe scripts.
Players that drive vibrators through Intiface include ScriptPlayer and MultiFunPlayer on Windows, and ANANGA's player in the browser, which opens to everyone this winter.
06 / QUESTIONSAsked often.
Does Lovense support funscripts?
Lovense Remote's description covers patterns, partner control and Media Sync, where music, sound or video drive the vibration. It does not mention funscripts. To play one on a Lovense toy, use a funscript player with Intiface Central.
Will a stroke script feel as good as on a stroker?
It feels different. A vibrator keeps the rhythm of a script but not the shape of each stroke, so lively scripts work better than steady ones.
Do I need a computer?
Not necessarily. Intiface Central runs on Android and iOS, and a phone running it can also serve your toy to a player on a computer.
What do the numbers mean in a vibration script?
Strength: 0 is off and 100 is full. The times work as in any funscript, in milliseconds from the start.
Where can I find scripts to try?
See where to find funscripts, and ANANGA's free, open catalogue at ananga.ai/scripts. You can check any script in your browser first.
